From the Back Office to the Product
bizOS was founded by Jeff Petersen — a finance and operations executive who spent 20 years inside the businesses that most software companies only study from the outside. As a CFO, COO, and operator across multi-unit restaurants, hospitality groups, and growth-stage companies, Jeff saw the same pattern everywhere: operators stitching together five, ten, fifteen disconnected tools just to get through the day. The POS didn't talk to accounting. Marketing didn't know what was selling. End-of-day took two hours because nothing reconciled.
bizOS started as the system Jeff wished he'd had. A connected platform where every transaction, every customer interaction, and every financial event flows through a single operating system. Point of sale, accounting, marketing, loyalty, and operations — not as separate products with integrations, but as one platform built on shared data.
Today, bizOS serves restaurants, promotional products distributors, and businesses across multiple industries through its product suite and custom software consulting practice. The company is headquartered in the Kansas City area.
